Class 5A South - Playoffs

Basic Academy (2M)	5	Arbor View (3D)	3
The Wolves jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first with 6 QAB's registered, including 3 walks that all brought runs in. Kelley lead the offense with a pair of hits and an RBI. Evans was dominant through his 6.0 IP, allowing 0 R and 1 H while striking out 6. The Aggies pushed back in the 7th with a Wieger 3-run HR to close the lead, but '27 LHP, Ramos, came in to close the door and secure the opening round win.
Centennial (4M)	5	Bishop Gorman (1D)	0
The "Jake Turner Game". The soph. racked up another multi-hit day, including a huge, opposite field 2 RBI 2B that extended the Centnennial lead, but he shined on the mound carrying his no-hit bid into the 7th before being pulled. His performance helped secure the key opening round W over the top seeded Gaels.
Faith Lutheran (3M)	1	Las Vegas (2D)	0
Without debate, the most impressive pitching matchup of the Spring between Ponticello (LV) and Watkins (FL). Both arms going complete game shutouts through 7.0 innings, Ponticello was replaced in the 8th after his 8 K performance by Iverson, but Watkins continued into the 9th, striking out 13. In the 9th, Swanson's QAB brought in the go-ahead run to put FL up 1-0. FL's Herterick stepped in for the final 0.2 IP, closing it out to put Faith in the winner bracket.
Palo Verde (1M)	9	Foothill (4D)	2
A massive day at the plate from Johns propels the Panthers to a big 9-2 win over the Falcons. With 4 runs put up in the 1st off a Johns grand slam and in the 3rd off a Johns RBI 2B, Johnson RBI 1B. L. Jefferies also added a multi-hit day for PV. Sibal and Watson both added a 2B for Foothill.

Class 5A North - Playoffs

Bishop Manogue (1)	10	Damonte Ranch (8)	3
After DR took an early 2-0 lead off a Bross 2 RBI 1B in the 2nd, the Manogue bats broke it open in the 4th with 3 runs brough across by a Czyz 2 RBI 2B and a Martyka RBI 1B. Nevada commit, Huntsman, settled in after 2nd, striking out 10 over his 6.0 IP. A bases clearing 3B from Durst put the Miners up 7-2 with another pair of runs brought in with RBI's from Lemieux and Sullivan in the 5th, helping BM earn the first round win.
Galena (4)	10	McQueen (5)	9
An opening round slugfest with 26 total hits registerd with Galena walking it off in the bottom of the 7th with a Green 2B to score Cordell. McQueen's Ramsey (3 H, 2 2B), Sanchez (2 H), McAdara (2 H), Garcia (2 H, 1 HR) and Culbertson (2 H) all registerd multi-hit days. Talafuse (2 H, 2 2B), Kermode (3 H, 2B, 3B) and Quintero (2 H, 2B) also registerd multiple hits to help lead Galena to an opening round W.
Reno (2)	3	Douglas (7)	0
A dominant performance on the mound from Reno's Edwards helped lead Reno to a key opening round win, striking out 12 during his 7.0 CG shutout. Dalen's 3-hit day lead the Huskies on the offensive side with Edwards also helping out his own cause with an RBI 2B.
Spanish Springs (3)	3	Reed (6)	1
Another standout pitching matchup between Reed's Spencer (6.0, 4 K, 3 ER) and Spanish Springs' Fowler (7.0, 6 K, 1 ER). The Cougars were able to take an early 2-0 lead in the 2nd with the Raiders answering back in the 3rd with a run on a Moss RBI sac fly. SS was able to add an insurance run in the 6th on a pass ball and that was all that was needed to secure the opening round win.
