Lafayette jumped out to an early 2-0 lead as two way athlete Luke Hanson singled in the top of the first and would then score from first on an overthrow on a South McDowell bunt. Hanson gave up one unearned run in the bottom of the first after he walked two hitters, but would not give up much after that. Hanson had three of the seven hits on the day, including a RBI triple in the seventh inning that would extend the Lafayette lead. Hanson also allowed only one single and struck out twelve over his seven innings on the mound. Ultimately Lafayette came away with a 4-1 victory over Warhill.
