Rising Stars on the Radar: 2028 OF Brian Morhardt (Morristown)

Nathan Goranson
Northeast Scout

The North Jersey product turned some heads at the NJ Fall Top Prospect Games at Skylands Stadium. Morhardt is a 5-foot-11, 176-pound outfielder that has a physical frame with present athleticism. After his showing at the NJ Fall TPG, he is a prospect that is worth monitoring throughout the preseason and high school season.

Offensively, Morhardt displayed the ability to be consistent on the barrel. He produced a max exit velocity of 94.1 mph and an average exit velocity of 89.9 mph which ranks him in the upper percentile in his class for average exit velocities. He flashed a line drive approach with the occasional ability to elevate the baseball, peaking at a max distance of 336 feet. Morhardt hits from a toe-tap gather with a compact barrel turn that is direct and efficient to the baseball. With his efficient swing, strength, and projectability, expect Morhardt to continue to take strides in a positive direction.

Overall, Morhardt turned heads at the NJ Fall Top Prospect Games, showing a physical, athletic frame and consistently loud contact highlighted by upper‑tier exit velocities, making him a clear follow with upward‑trending offensive projection.
