The 2026 Texas high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Texas.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Austin at the UIL State Tournament in June, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Texas. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 30 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

The Bulldogs enter the 2026 season with significant momentum following a very strong 2025 campaign that saw them finish as 2A Area Finalists with a 23-6-1 record. Under the leadership of Head Coach David Anderson, a five-time District Coach of the Year, the Bulldogs are expected to rely on their established strengths in pitching and offensive production. The team's previous success was fueled by a high-powered offense that posted a .364 collective batting average and a pitching staff led by two starters who combined for a 20-2 record last spring.

The roster is anchored by a deep group of returning talent, including eight position players, four starting pitchers, and three relief pitchers. Leading the charge is RHP/OF Cooper Kent, a Sul Ross State University commit and District MVP who earned 1st Team All-State honors. He is joined by a decorated group of upperclassmen, including RHP/UTL Fischer Blagg, 1B Camp Youens, C Case Stelma, and OF Brody McNamara, all of whom were 1st Team All-District selections in 2025.

Bosqueville also features a strong core of younger players who have already made their mark at the varsity level. Junior INF/RHP Dax Pharris returns after an Honorable Mention All-State season, alongside District Newcomer of the Year Cole Sigo and 2nd Team All-District DH Cooper Clements. The Bulldogs will further bolster their depth with promising newcomers like OF/RHP Cayden McCutcheon and INF/RHP Jeremiah Johnson. With no key players lost from the previous season, the Bulldogs are well-positioned for a deep run in the 2A playoffs in 2026.
