TEAM OUTLOOK

The Forney Jackrabbits are set to enter the 2026 season under the leadership of Head Coach Jason Farrow, following a 2025 campaign where the team finished with a 14-16 record. The Jackrabbits are looking to leverage their defensive stability, which is noted as a primary team strength heading into the season. While the program graduated key contributors Logan Wells and Dillon Dryman, they return a significant portion of their lineup, including seven returning position players.

The pitching staff will be anchored by a trio of senior standouts with college commitments. LHP Garrett Jordan, a Cisco JC commit and 1st Team All-District selection, leads the staff alongside fellow LHP Jaxon Mount (Murray State JC) and RHP/INF Aiden Musser, who is committed to Fordham. In total, the Jackrabbits return one starting pitcher and two relief pitchers, providing a foundation of experience on the mound to complement their defensive core.

In addition to their veteran presence, Forney is integrating young talent into the roster. The team has identified SS Abraham Avilla (2028) as a top newcomer to watch, while INF Austin Giordano (2029) is noted as a promising freshman to know for potentially this season and in the future. With a blend of established upperclassmen and emerging underclassmen, the Jackrabbits aim to improve upon last season's results and earn a postseason berth in 2026.
