TEAM OUTLOOK

The Oak Ridge Trojans enter 2026 looking to take a step forward behind a lineup built on hitting ability, speed, and emerging power. After a 13–15 campaign and CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 Playoff appearance in 2025, head coach Todd Melton returns a strong core of five starters who give the Trojans a solid foundation on both sides of the ball. Oak Ridge figures to pressure opponents offensively, with an emphasis on timely hitting and good baserunning, while furthering development throughout the pitching staff.

The offense will be driven by a talented senior class. OF Jasen Womack (2026), a First Team All-SFL selection, brings a proven track record of production to the lineup. INF Dylan Busalacchi (2026) profiles as a middle-of-the-order presence with a smooth glove, while INF Noah Teply (2026) sets the tone as a spark-plug leadoff hitter. INF Antonio Montes De Oca (2027) adds versatility and good bat-to-ball skills, and RHP Noah Nowaski (2026), a Second Team All-SFL selection, will be counted on to help lead the pitching staff.

The Trojans also benefit from key pieces around the program, including C Ryan Hubbard (2026), a Santa Clara commit who provides leadership and will handle the pitching staff. OF Hudson Vetter (2028) is an ascending offensive talent with the chance to become a major impact bat as he continues to develop. With a returning group that blends experience and upside, Oak Ridge has the offensive tools to remain competitive in the 2026 season.

Quote from the Coach

“We should be in the running to win the SFL this year if our pitchers are healthy; otherwise we will need some young but talented arms to step up into bigger roles.”
