Here will be begin to look at players that made an impact this week. This will be our first piece of scout blog content with the Director's List to follow tomorrow. Be on the lookout for more content over the next few weeks.

Jaxston Brown, OF, North Springs, 2027
Uncommitted. 5-foot-8, 150-pound frame with strength in the lower-half. Showed off the bat speed on Friday night as the hit tool was on full display. Batting in the 2-spot made for a quick base-runner for this North Springs line-up. FIrst at-bat worked a two-strike count then followed with a back-side single through the infield gap for a single. Second at-bat made quick work with a first-pitch attack on a middle-in FB that two-hopped the wall in right-center, stretching it into a triple. Good swing mechanics with loose and twitchy hands that show a confident and powerful presence in the box. Simple approaches that show impressive results. He will be a fun player to watch as he continues to rise in this 2027 grad class.

Gabe Bowne, LHP, Northgate, 2028
Uncommitted. High waisted 6-foot-2, 176-pound frame. Interesting first glance at the young left hander as the arm was lively early and as he gained confidence throughout the outing. Worked from the stretch and got down hill with long strides and with a slight cross-body action that shows promise and deception for hitters. FB ran up to 83 and lived in the low 80’s all night, 80-82 with accuracy on the corners for called strikes and occasionally jamming right handed hitters with an inside heater. SL was lively later in the outing, showing real sweeping-like movement coming out of the arm, looking natural in the mid-to-low 70’s topping at 74. Ran into some trouble late in the fourth inning but still collected 8k’s and only surrendered two hits. A loose arm that looks to really impress as he continues to grow and he grows and fills out the frame.

Wesley Moering, 2B, North Paulding, 2027
Uncommitted. Athletic, versatile 5-foot-11, 150-pounds. Super fun player to watch in the North Paulding Wolfpack line-up. Consistent and hard contact that blisters through all parts of the field. Syncs up nicely with a simple load, and hands that quickly slice through the zone with aggressive intent. Hands pre-pitch are relaxed and loose, once he starts his load, he slowly anticipates and gradually builds momentum towards the pitcher. Quick out of the box with speed down the line. Shows range at the middle infield positions that pairs with a decent glove. A strong frame with more room to fill out as the body continues to grow and mature. For sure a standout sophomore season incoming for this ‘27.

Derek Race, C, North Paulding, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot-0, 175-pounds. Strong showing for the senior as the hit tools were on full display Friday (2/14). A semi-balanced base with slightly bent knees with a leg kick load, generates power throughout and stays in his back leg to maintain strength through the swing. Swing syncs up nicely and he matches plane well. He split the gap in left-center for a loud double early in the game that got the bats started for this Wolfpack squad. Showed low 90 exit velocities on all line-drives. Tough luck on a couple line-drives that were quick outs right at guys, but stayed through on all his approaches, stayed aggressive behind in the count and displayed a confident swing that showed an advanced feel for the barrel.

Tyler Brobst, OF, 2025, South Forsyth
Uncommitted. It was a monster showing from Brobst this past weekend. Going 3-for-4 with 2 3B and 3 RBI on Friday evening along with going 2-for-2 with another 3B an RBI and 2 BB in South Forsyth's last game. Brobst carries a simple approach at the plate coupled with being an impressive presence in the box which led to him catching barrels all weekend long. Including a pull-side laser that left the bat at 102. The LHH creates good separation while showing an above-average feel to get the barrel to the ball. A lean, high-waisted 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame that holds immense projection.

Ellery Smith, C, 2026, Milton
Uncommitted. A strong defender with above-average actions behind the plate. Ellery made his presence known by cutting down multiple runners on the basepaths and limited the running game on Saturday night against Denmark. With smooth mechanics and athleticism in the crouch coupled with a high IQ and present arm strength. The RHH nearly put one out to RCF field for a ringing double. Displaying an innate ability to sync up and find the barrel to deliver consistent impact. As well as holding natural strength within a physical 6-foot-1, 192-pound frame. This is an uncommitted name that profiles well on both sides of the ball and will be a major piece to Milton’s success this year.

Chase Quaile, C, 2026, North Cobb
Uncommitted. The physical 6-foot-1, 200-pound LHH was all over the barrel on Saturday. Lacing a pair of pull-side barrels for hard hit knocks that both left the bat at 97 EV. Quaile shows the ability to manipulate the barrel to deliver consistent hard impact. Staying extremely simple at the plate with explosive hands through the zone. The actions behind the plate are advanced with athleticism in the crouch, along with solid footwork and smooth, effortless transfers with present arm strength to match. Quaile looks poised to breakout this Spring as a fixture in the offense for the Warriors batting in the 4-hole, while also anchoring the defense behind the plate.

Cross Dennard, RHP, 2027, Denmark
Uncommitted. The RHP put together a strong performance in his first start for the Danes this Spring. Showcasing an intriguing three-pitch mix with present pitchability. As well as being an athletic mover with more in the tank. The fastball was thrown at 82-84 with some arm-side run. Paired with a mid 70s slider with the ability to add or subtract sweep that created heavy swing-and-miss. While also flashing a changeup at 78. The arm talent is clear to see for Dennard as he looks poised to be a driving force in the rotation for Denmark in 2025.

Grant Addison, CF, 2026, Walker
Uncommitted. A strong defender that really looked the part in CF for Walker over the weekend. A lean, athletic 6-foot-2,180-pound frame, Addison shows advanced actions in the outfield with good footwork and the ability to track baseballs coupled with impressive lateral range. Addison was greeted with multiple difficult plays in the 1st inning that he made with ease. As well as reaching base three times with a 1B, 2B, and a HBP. Showing a simple approach at the plate by getting the front foot down to get on time. Showing a strong ability to match plane or manipulate the barrel with length in-zone. This is an uncommitted name to know that is a field general in CF with tools to project on at the plate.

Jake Perry, RHP, 2026, Troup County
Uncommitted. The athletic 5-foot-11, 150-pound RHP battled against a tough Sequoyah lineup in his start for Troup County on Saturday at GDC. Showing a quality three pitch-mix with intriguing movement patterns. The fastball was thrown at 84-85 topping at 86 with hard arm-side run with command to either half. The curveball flashed at 72-74 while creating some depth. The change-up presented diving action with arm-side fade at 76-78. There is more to come within the profile for Perry, as an athletic mover with present arm speed and pitchability with clean mechanics all-around. Perry should be a mainstay on the bump for a strong Troup team this Spring.

Ean Marria, 3B/RHP, 2025, Sequoyah
Uncommitted. Continuing his impressive past year at the plate, Marria, one of the top uncommitted players in the state, went deep in his first at bat of GDC. Then followed it up with more heavy barrels on Saturday. Showing an innate ability to sync up and deliver a well-leveraged barrel with present strength at 5-foot-11, 200-pounds especially to the pull-side. Marria seemingly always hits no matter the setting. With above-average raw power the RHH also shows a real feel to hit. As well as producing a quality showing during his start on the mound Saturday. With a FB/CB mix, the fastball lived 85-87 and topped at 88 with arm-side run. The curveball was shown at 72-73 while creating depth as Marria showed feel for spin. This is a top uncommitted bat with plenty of projection remaining that likely won’t be on the market much longer.

Walker Clark, OF/RHP, 2026, South Forsyth
Uncommitted. It was an all-around impressive day for Clark on the first evening of Georgia Dugout club. The RHP drew the start for the War Eagles and cruised through four innings striking out five. Presenting an intriguing three pitch-mix. The fastball lived 83-84 topping at 85. The slider was shown at 77-79 with feel to manipulate shape (2800+ RPM). Also flashing a changeup at 72-74. At the plate, Clark reached base three times with two knocks and a BB. Then proceeded to follow Friday's performance at the plate by launching a pull-side HR on Saturday. Exhibiting present feel for the barrel while staying in his approach and generating a ton of strength from the ground up. There is still projection remaining on both sides of the ball within the physical 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame.

Jack Brantner, RHP/OF, 2026, Milton
Uncommitted. The junior drew the start on the Mound for Milton’s first game on Friday. Showing a dynamic three pitch-mix. The fastball lived 85-87 and topped at 88 with easy life out of the hand. The curveball was thrown at 71-73 as well as flashing a changeup at 76-77. Showing an innate feel to land all three in the zone. At the plate, Brantner was on a tear Saturday night picking up three hits in a win. Putting together impressive plate appearances all game long the RHH shows impressive hands through the zone with excellent feel for the barrel while getting on plane seemingly at all times in an advanced approach. Brantner will fill multiple roles for the Eagles this spring and is poised to have a breakout year.

Makayle Moon, CF, 2027, East Forsyth
Uncommitted. The athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pound LHH continued to look the part over the course of GDC as he seemingly barreled everything. Showing great balance at the plate with effortless bat speed while demonstrating a strong ability to match plane. As well as creating good separation with easy leverage through the zone to deliver solid contact in-zone. Displaying a budding hit tool with innate bat-to-ball in an advanced all-fields approach. Along with being an above-average runner at a 6.84-60 with real tools in CF as well. There is immense projection remaining within the uber-athletic sophomores profile.
