Edmonton Future Games Trials: Positional Data Dive

On Sunday, March 8th, the Prep Baseball Alberta staff hosted the second of two Future Games Trials of the weekend with the Edmonton Future Games Trials hosted at AHP Academy, home of the AHP Renegades, in St. Albert, Alberta.
This event featured roughly 60 prospects in the 2026 - 2031 classes and it was another strong group of players, both on the positional and pitching side, competing for a spot on one of Canada's three teams heading to the Future Games in late July... The Canadian Future Games team (2028/2029 prospects), Senior Future Games team (2026/27 prospects) and the Junior Future Games team (2030/31). Players attending Future Games Trials events also qualify to be selected for other marquee events including West Coast Games (CA), West Coast Super Sophomore Games (OR) and more.
All player ran through a full workout that included batting practice and bullpens captured on our TrackMan, as well as 30-yard sprints captured by VALD Performance and positional metrics. Over the next several days we'll be highlighting top performers from the event within our post-event analysis.
