2026 High School Team Preview: Jenkins Warriors

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

TEAM OUTLOOK

The Jenkins Warriors rattled off 10 wins in their last 11 games and look to carry that momentum into 2026. The pitching staff is led by a trio of upperclassmen that each gained valuable experience this past season. Junior OF/RHP Ronald Dunham is coming off a sophomore campaign where he pitched to the tune of a 2.70 ERA. Dunham also held down a spot in the lineup as he reached base at a .500 clip and batted for a .326 average. Junior two-way Pedro Fabian put together a strong sophomore season where he hit .491 and looks to be primed for a strong campaign this upcoming Spring as well as providing depth on the mound. 2027 Cruz Texidor rounds out the rotation and looks to fill multiple roles defensively along with a spot in the lineup. Senior infielder Charles Stuart will be a name to know in the heart of the order and appears to be a major run producer once again this Spring. 2026 INF Jackson McKenzie provides key senior leadership and a reliable stick in the order. Senior and dual-sport athlete, Brian Swinton, brings tons of athleticism to the table that can impact the game in a multitude of ways. Swinton is a threat to run at any time after swiping 24 bags last season and can stick anywhere in the lineup. Logan Adams will look to carve out a role for his junior season. Underclassmen Trenton Harrelson and Kevin Jacombe have a chance to make an impact as well. The Warriors are hungry to reach the postseason in ‘26 and have versatile pieces across the board that can help them achieve that goal.
