2026 High School Team Preview: Strong Rock Christian

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

TEAM OUTLOOK

The Patriots lost a good bit to graduation but return a young and experienced group that should find their way back into the playoffs. Senior leadership comes by the way of QB1 and OF/RHP Blake Hahn as he will supply experience to both sides of the ball. Junior INF Brody Spann has been a consistent performer over the years as he is armed with present bat-to-ball skills and has added noticeable strength at the dish. Along with holding down a spot on the pitching staff as well. JFG alum, 2027 Blake Chupp offers a high-floor profile and will be a stronghold in the middle of the order as well as yielding a key piece on the mound. Junior INF Jordan Jones boasts big-time strength in a stout 5-foot-10, 210-pound frame and has a chance to be a massive run producer in the heart of the order. 2027 C/3B Bennett Morrow possesses a strong hit tool from the left-side in an all-fields approach with strength to project. Juniors, Cameron Harvey and Ayden Rivers will look to fill multiple roles with a chance to make an impact on both sides of the ball. A trio of upperclassmen by the way of Juniors Kaiden Justice, Brayden Ray, and Camp Howell all supply depth to the lineup with positional flexibility across the diamond. Sophomore Cameron Harrison holds strong projection in a wiry 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame and looks to be a key piece in the rotation. The trio of Brady Evans, Eli Benjamin, and Jackson Gardiner all have a chance to contribute as sophomores. Coach Evans has a strong blend of upperclass and underclass talent heading into ‘26 and will have his group ready to go on February 12th.
