TEAM OUTLOOK
It was trial by fire last year for Head Coach Tom Callahan and staff with plenty of guys getting in-game experience. The returning production backed by a veteran presence on both sides of the ball looks to improve upon the region finish from a year ago. Returning experience is the strength of the Warriors and it starts with a veteran rotation leading the way. At the top and holding down the SP1 spot is RHP/SS Trevor Baker. The uncommitted senior boasts a live arm as he sits in the upper 80’s and will be expected to shoulder significant innings. Baker also yields a dependable stick at the top-of-the-order as well as strong defense up-the-middle when not on the mound. RHP/IF Aaron Childress brings invaluable experience as he was a steady performer across the Summer circuit and follows up Baker in the rotation. The uncommitted senior works in the mid-upper 80’s with pitchability and yields a key piece in the lineup. Fellow uncommitted senior RHP/IF Jude Blessington polishes off the rotation and strengthens the infield defense and lineup alike. The offense is powered by uncommitted senior and switch-hitting C/RHP Chase Quaile, who brings a strong hit-power combo to the heart of the order. Quaile also boasts present tools defensively behind the plate and offers value on the mound as he strengthens the depth of the pitching staff. Uncommitted senior C/DH Ben Barr is armed with big-time strength at the plate and will be relied upon as a consistent stick and a major power source in the middle-of-the-order. Two-sport athlete and uncommitted senior, OF Jayden Bryant, brings a quality floor with budding bat-to-ball skills in the box. Another two-sport athlete for the Warriors comes by the way of OF/RHP Isaiah Rogers. The uncommitted junior will fill multiple roles and supply consistency to both sides of the ball. Sophomore OF/SS Jordan Hammock has a chance to make an impact as an underclassmen along with providing defensive value at key positions. The Warriors square off in a tough region with the likes of Walton, North Paulding, and Etowah but have confidence on any given night backed by senior leadership throughout the pitching staff and lineup.
