2026 High School Team Preview: North Hall Trojans

Ian Smith
Assistant Scouting Director

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

*Please note the information has been gathered from head coaches across the state, based on their replies to the questionnaire we distributed over this offseason.

TEAM OUTLOOK

A year removed from 29 wins and an elite eight appearance, Coach Trevor Flow brings yet another quality roster into 2026 that boasts veteran talent throughout. After missing over a month to start last season due to transfer rules, senior C/RHP Branson Crawford is back for a full spring and ready to lead the Trojans on both sides of the ball. The Indiana commit will be a major factor on the mound while providing a plethora of tools that play as a well-rounded backstop. Senior C/OF Kenny Foudy will be a staple in the middle of the order with huge raw power and physical tools both behind the plate and in the outfield for the Georgia Highlands commit. Fellow committed seniors in LHP Kaleb Sexton (Virginia Military) and LHP Smith McGarvey (Southern Union) will be fixtures in rotation, providing experience and stuff alike. Uncommitted senior RHP/1B Jake Beard will also be a weapon in a starting role while providing a consistent bat in the corner infield. As the upperclass talent rolls on, uncommitted senior OF Ty Kemp brings high-level bat-to-ball skills to the top of the order while the addition of junior 3B/RHP Jayzen Johnson brings a quality hit-power combo to immensely strengthen this lineup while offering value on the mound as well. Junior 1B Custus Honeycutt made big strides at the plate as a sophomore including a huge playoff HR and could be looking at a bigger role this upcoming spring. Juniors 2B/RHP Caleb Bate and RHP Kenny Sullivan will be looked upon as dependable arms in a bullpen that will have strong depth. There will be some underclass impact as well with sophomore SS/RHP Brayden Allen is going to be tasked with a big role in the middle infield as well as sophomore 3B Thomas Davis looking to bounce back strong from an injury that sapped most of his 2025 season. One more sophomore to note is 1B Joab Bolton, who boasts some easy pull-side juice from the left-side that can be a weapon in the spring. Topping the 5th best record in school history will be a tall task but the Trojans have the roster to make that run in a highly competitive region yet again.
