Best of the Fall: 2025 Edition
The 2025 fall season featured some of the highest-quality events in the region, giving players the chance to measure themselves against the top talent in their state, class, and even nationally. From Scout Days to ID events and Top Prospect Games, athletes tested their skills in pro-style workouts, live competition, and advanced analytics sessions. Players updating their profiles through these events now connect with over 1,000 college programs and every MLB organization that subscribes to Prep Baseball’s trusted information, ensuring their performance is seen by the right eyes.
Best of the Fall 2025: Athletic Testing Leaders
As part of our Best of the Fall 2025 series, today we highlight athletic testing standouts from fall events across North Carolina. Using data captured by VALD Performance, this leaderboard spotlights players whose speed and explosiveness separated themselves during standardized testing environments.
Two key athletic measures are featured. VALD Athletic Run testing provides verified sprint data, including the 60-yard dash along with 10-yard and 30-yard splits, offering insight into acceleration, transition speed, and top-end run ability. In addition, VALD Vertical Jump testing highlights lower-body explosiveness, a foundational trait that supports power, speed, and defensive range.
The leaderboards below include both overall fall leaders and class-by-class standouts, identifying athletes whose movement skills and physical tools stood out heading into the spring season. These metrics help provide objective context to on-field performance and highlight players with athletic traits that translate across all facets of the game.
