Peterson leads off our Top Hit Tool list for the 2026 class for good reason, as he has firmly established himself as one of the top bats in the country. The two-time Prep Baseball All-American and projected first-rounder is one of the most feared hitters in the region, with exit velocities reaching as high as 107 mph.
He’s one of my favorite at-bats to watch because he controls each plate appearance regardless of the arm on the mound. Peterson shows outstanding discipline and patience, always stepping in with a clear plan, which is why he’s consistently among the most dangerous hitters around. We saw him this summer at the Summer World Series, where he helped Prime take home the title.
