As we look back on the 2025 summer tournament circuit here in Kansas City, we’ll be breaking down the top players by tool from each class — based on evaluations from our scouting team at Homefield and Creekside. Follow along as we take a deep dive into these players and highlight the summers they put together. Each week will feature our top five players based on each tool from the class, presented in no particular order.

Another two-time Prep Baseball All-American joins our Top 5 Hit Tool players in the 2026 class, and Bass is one of the more athletic players we saw all year. The Wake Forest commit shows above-average tools across the board, giving him the versatility to make an impact for the Demon Deacons from the moment he steps on campus.
A quick-twitch athlete with a lean 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame, Bass still has plenty of room to add strength. In the box, his lightning-quick hands generate a max bat speed of 81 mph and exit velocities up into 100's. He stood out to our staff at the Midwest Premier Super 17, where he consistently did damage with a wood bat, including the home run shown below.
