January 9, 2026
As we look back on the 2025 summer tournament circuit here in Kansas City, we’ll be breaking down the top players by tool from each class — based on evaluations from our scouting team at Homefield and Creekside. Follow along as we take a deep dive into these players and highlight the summers they put together. Each week will feature our top five players based on each tool from the class, presented in no particular order.

One of our top Hit Tool players with power to match, Keelan Zumwalt may have the highest power ceiling we saw in 2025. His slim, athletic 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame paired with advanced rhythm and timing at the plate creates present power with even more upside as he continues to mature.
Zumwalt consistently works himself into leverage counts, and when he does, he doesn’t get cheated. With showcase exit velocities reaching into the 104 mph range, he has the raw power to leave any ballpark. Seeing him in person at the Super Sophomore Games and multiple fall tournaments gave us a clear look at the type of power he possesses, and we believe there’s plenty more to come as he continues to grow and get stronger.
