As we look back on the 2025 summer tournament circuit here in Kansas City, we’ll be breaking down the top players by tool from each class — based on evaluations from our scouting team at Homefield and Creekside. Follow along as we take a deep dive into these players and highlight the summers they put together. Each week will feature our top five players based on each tool from the class, presented in no particular order.
Top Power Tool Class of 2028
|
Krue Patrick 3B / RHP / Staley, MO / 2028
|
One of the more versatile players on our list, Patrick shows above-average tools across the board, with his power standing out most in 2025. He was a consistent barrel for the Cisneros group last season, and while he didn’t see a ton of balls leave the yard, he was constantly on second and third base.
A quick-twitch 6-foot, 180-pound third baseman, Patrick has the ability to move around the field and make an impact at multiple positions. He pairs strong bat-to-ball skills with the strength to project as a potential top-of-the-order bat at the next level. Patrick is also one of our more exciting two-way prospects, showing a fastball in the upper 80s that is trending toward the low 90s.
