Recruiting Roundup: 12/19-1/7
January 8, 2026
With the showcase season starting up later this month and with the holidays behind us, the spring season will be here before we know it. We decided to start up our weekly 'Recruiting Roundup' series, where we continue to highlight the prospects that committed to a collegiate program during the week. Be on the lookout each week for this series, or follow along on our X platform, where we announce commitments every day. The past few weeks have been a busy time, with numerous commitments, so let's begin.
Note: Players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

Nick Brennan RHP / 1B / Oswego East, IL / 2026Benedictine Commit |

Max Dailey RHP / RHP / Jacobs, IL / 2026Milwaukee School of Engineering Commit From 10/05/25: “RHP Max Dailey (Jacobs, 2026) is another arm that showed upside during his bullpen. Dauley is listed with a physical 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame. The right-hander operates from a stretch-only delivery with a tall/fall approach. Long, loose, clean arm action from a ¾ arm slot. His fastball sat 83-85 mph with sinking action. He mixed in a changeup that sat 76-79 mph while keeping it low. Dailey rounded out his three-pitch mix with a curveball that sat 71-73 mph with depth.” |

Alex Han SS / RHP / Stevenson, IL / 2026Massachusetts Institute of Technology Commit |
|
Gavin McReynolds OF / OF / Minooka, IL / 2026Wisconsin-Stout Commit From 3/12/25: “OF Gavin McReynolds (Minooka, 2026) is a toolsy prospect to note from the day. He got things started with a 6.97 in the 60 and he moved around the outfield well with fluid footwork - pairing with a strong arm (T85 mph). At the plate, the left-handed hitter has a simple swing that stays on-plane, repeating well while staying level through the zone.” |
|
Dino Pantazopoulos LHP / OF / Oak Park-River Forest, IL / 2026Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Commit From 6/04/25: “Uncommitted. Lean 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame. Started on the mound for the Huskies in the 4A Reavis Sectional Semifinal. Pantazopoulos showed some impressive stuff on the mound despite the result. The left-hander operated out of a high leg lift into a drop/drive delivery, working in-line down the mound, with a loose over the top arm action that hid the ball well. Pantazopoulos was able to induce tons of weak contact throughout the game. He tossed six innings, only allowing two runs on five hits, with two strikeouts. His fastball was 80-83 mph and played with arm-side run. He also utilized a 1/7 curveball at 69-70 mph and a heavy fading changeup at 73-75 mph. An uncommitted junior arm to keep an eye on.” |

|
Matt Young OF / LHP / Lane Tech, IL / 2026Wisconsin-Whitewater Commit From 2/22/25: “OF Matt Young (Lane Tech, 2026) looks to be an athletic outfielder to keep tabs on from the event, boasting an intriguing L/L profile and some clear athleticism with his 6.87 in the 60. The left-handed hitter has a clean swing that showed a line-drive approach and feel for the barrel, delivering a simple and repeatable swing throughout his round with a max EV of 90 mph. In the outfield, Young plays through the baseball with intent and a one-hand gather, showing fluid footwork that breaks down before the ball when needed.” |
