The 13th annual Future Games took place on July 24-28 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2026 and 2027 participated in one of the most popular events each year.

There were 36 teams, including Team Ohio, with players representing 43 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players are put through a showcase workout on Wednesday, the first day of the Future Games.

More than 300 colleges from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event. This year, more than 450 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance.

Overall MVP

Enzo DiCocco OF / OF / Brecksville-Broadview Heights, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 21 / POS: 3 Report: Had coaches buzzing after his BP on the workout day, followed it up with a stellar in-game performance all three days.

Best Pitching Performance

Landon Thiel LHP / Massillon Jackson, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 12 / POS: 2 OverallRank: 285 / POS: 26 Report: 2 innings, 4 k's, 1 H - Second inning is what coaches needed to see, landed the breaking ball and got some s/m on the FB.

Drew Oerther LHP / 1B / Loveland, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 24 / POS: 6 Report: 2 innings, 1 K, 1 H, 0 R - kept the pitch count low, cruised.

Jack Ryan RHP / 1B / St. Xavier, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 5 / POS: 3 OverallRank: 166 / POS: 50 Report: 1 inning, 1 K, 0 H, 0 R - kept hitters off balance, got some ugly swings.

Best In Game Hitting Performance

Landon Wolf 1B / 3B / Amherst Steele, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 35 / POS: 1 Report: 2-3 w/ 2 RBI vs Pennsylvania - found barrels all weekend.

Matt Ponatoski SS / RHP / Archbishop Moeller, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 1 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 7 / POS: 5 Report: 2-3 vs Michigan including a single off Ethan Armstrong (90-93). Checked off some really good chase breaking balls in both games he played in.

Best Workout Day Hitter

Matthew Mansbery SS / 3B / Walsh Jesuit, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 26 / POS: 5 Report: Showed gap to gap power topping at 100.3. Good ball flight to all fields.

Best In Game Defender

Donovan Corbett OF / RHP / Lakota East, OH / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 53 / POS: 8 Report: 3 outfield assists in 3 games was impressive to see. Strong, accurate throws. Also tracked down a few balls. Stood out defensively.

Best Workout Day Defender
